Tower Mountain Attempt - April 2017

Elaine and I made a very worthy attempt of Tower Mountain in the Kananaskis Country, starting from the Spray Lake Road south of Canmore. It was snow covered right from the road as we hiked the Rummel Pass Trail past Rummel Lake and up the SW ridge. We reached the ridge crest and when we were only 500 feet from the summit an afternoon storm rolled in and we retreated. this trip involved copious amounts of post-holing. Believe it or not there were others on the trail as well!
